Introduction To Psychology

Psychology has developed from roots in biology and philosophy to become a science that aims to describe how we think, feel, and act. We will explore the full range of psychology from human development and psychological disorders to motivation and emotion. This class will provide students with a transformational learning experiencing covering well beyond an overview of psychology. Students will learn through a balance of explanation of content and emphasis on doing of psychology through a blend of conception discussion and research description. This class fosters scientific attitudes and encourages students to think both analytically and critically.
